Our sustainable efforts pay off!
Since 2020, we at edibo are committed to embodying the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations on and off site as well as possible, within the Voka Charter Sustainable Entrepreneurship.
We do this by annually setting up several initiatives that can be subdivided into five large categories: People, Planet, Peace, Prosperity and Partnership.
Past June, we set out to elaborate our actions for an Expert Committee. And successfully so because we can now call ourselves SDG Pioneers. The first step towards the title of SDG Ambassador.
ISO 14001 : check!
After achieving the ISO 9001 quality certificate in 1997 and the ISO 45001 safety certificate in 2004, for the next couple of months, we also obtained the ISO 14001 certificate in 2023.
With this international environment management standard, we are striving for an even bigger impact on durable entrepreneurship; in the field of environmental legislation, the continuous improvement of our environmental performances, as well as minimising the negative effects of our activities on the environment.
Supported by the external service for prevention and protection at work Mensura, for the next few months we will carry out a number of concrete initiatives to take on our societal role in this; trans-departmental at that. To be continued!
Nicely done by our challengers!
Sustainable construction starts with a better understanding of what a sustainable lifestyle is really all about. Unfortunately, this is often accompanied by less positive representations.
Supervised by the Neerpelt Watersports Club, a great number of constructive challengers and some of their family members registered for a waste clean-up operation on the water. Following a short introduction, they climbed into a kayak, equipped with empty bins and trash bags, for a trash run on the river Dommel. Upon their return, it became clear that there is still a lot of work to be done to prevent waste from ending up in waterways and other public places in the world.
