Glass showpiece along the E40

The new SEW-EURODRIVE buildings, right next to the motorway between Liege and Brussels, demand our attention straightaway. Especially at night, when the red façade lighting completely transforms the building’s appearance.

You may have passed it countless times. Both the production hall and the new offices (5,000 and 3,000 m² respectively) stand out instantly thanks to their exceptional finish.

“The building façade is made entirely of triple glazing. Every seam between the glass surface panels has been finished with high-grade aluminium cassettes. The result is a sleek line pattern that demands the spotlight across the façades of the three office floors and the production hall.” – Frederick Meynen, Project Manager

Even inside a sharp eye for detail

Just like they do in the façade finish, the line pattern plays a visual role on the interior of the company walls as well. The seams of every individually placed prefab concrete element are linked perfectly to the adjoining element; even where the offices and the adjacent product hall converge. Once again, an impressive performance because both buildings were not even erected in the same construction stage.

Do industrial and aesthetic go hand in hand for you too?

In short, a beautiful construction project that won over the client, the building partners, and even our own constructive challengers. What do you think? Do you also have an industrial construction project in mind where the aesthetic aspect plays a key role, just like in this one? Then don’t hesitate to reach out — we’d be happy to sit down with you soon.
